The 'Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) 2026,' one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia and certified by the Academy Awards, held the event 'Beyond the Buzz, Tremble: Vertical Horror Night' on Sunday, June 7, from 7:30 PM to 9:20 PM.

For the 'Horror & Suspense Section,' newly established with the sponsorship of CRG Inc., 273 entries for the 'scariest' vertical short films (30-180 seconds) were collected during the domestic open call from January to April.

The event included the announcement of six outstanding entries, evaluation commentary by guests Yasuhiro Hayase (Toshi Boys), Yuzuki Hirakawa (Actor), Shinzo Katayama (Film Director), and Takashi Shinomiya (CEO of CRG Inc.), as well as a ghost story talk session.

In the announcement of the award-winning films, 'Scariest Awards' were determined for each theme (Nightmare, Love, Friendship, Work). Creators shared insights into their production techniques, such as the use of AI technology and the behind-the-scenes of one-cut shooting, which left the guests impressed by their originality.
