On May 28, the Saitama Sanchoku Council 'Noh-Sai-Do', comprising Pal System Saitama and other organizations, held its 16th General Meeting at 'Pal Terrace' in Saitama City. Established in 2011 to promote local production and consumption, the council aims to develop local agriculture and preserve the environment. The meeting approved the 2025 activity report, highlighting that 649 people participated in 23 exchange events. Sales of exclusive regional products produced by affiliated organizations exceeded 40 million yen. Amid challenges like climate change and rising material costs, the council reaffirmed its commitment to connecting producers and consumers and promoting sustainable agriculture. For the 2026 business plan, new measures were approved to adapt to environmental changes, such as avoiding mid-summer agricultural experiences due to heatstroke risks. The council also plans to utilize SNS for ongoing information dissemination and develop small-packaged original products. Haruki Onozuka, representative of Yokudokai, was officially appointed as the new chairman.
