Arara Inc., a subsidiary of PayCloud Holdings Co., Ltd. providing IT solutions, has announced the creation of AR photo frames featuring logos, official characters, and salmon exhibited at the Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium located in Chitose City, Hokkaido.
Arara developed AR photo frames based on the aquarium's official characters, 'Salmon-kun' and 'Himeka-chan,' as well as the actual salmon housed at the facility. In addition to standard designs available year-round, limited-edition designs reflecting the seasons are planned for future release.
These photo frames require no app installation and can be easily launched via smartphone web browsers, allowing visitors to experience them immediately on their own devices. Since visitors can take photos at any spot while walking through the facility, it provides a flexible photography experience. This approach is expected to alleviate congestion compared to having designated physical photo spots. The AR frames can be easily accessed via posters displayed throughout the facility.
Features - Automatic Date Display: Every frame features the date the photo was taken (toggleable ON/OFF). - Seasonal Designs: Limited-edition designs featuring salmon that change according to the seasons will be released. - Realistic Salmon Experience: Photo frames are designed with realistic depictions of the salmon exhibited at the aquarium.
Future Outlook Arara continues to support the maximization of corporate promotion through experience enhancement using AR services. The company proposes optimal AR services tailored to specific goals, target audiences, and budgets for leisure facilities and events.
