Rakuten Pay and Rakuten Point Card Launch on Samsung Wallet; Registration Campaign Now Underway

Rakuten Payment Co., Ltd. and Samsung Electronics Japan Co., Ltd. announced that the contactless payment service 'Rakuten Pay' and the common point service 'Rakuten Point Card' are now available on 'Samsung Wallet,' the digital wallet app for Samsung Galaxy smartphones. This integration allows users to quickly launch payment and point services with a simple swipe-up motion.

To mark this occasion, the 'Samsung Wallet Exclusive Rakuten Pay & Rakuten Point Card Registration Campaign' is being held from April 23 to June 14, 2026. Under this campaign, the first 10,000 users to register Rakuten Pay in Samsung Wallet and the first 10,000 to register Rakuten Point Card will each receive 500 Rakuten Points. Users who register both can receive a total of 1,000 points. There are specific conditions for point advancement, including time-limited points.

Rakuten Pay has been ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for three consecutive years in the QR code payment category of the JCSI (Japanese Customer Satisfaction Index) survey. By combining Rakuten Point Card presentation with Rakuten Pay code payments (using Rakuten Cash as the source), users can earn up to 2.5% in Rakuten Points at eligible stores.

Eligible devices include Samsung Galaxy models released from 2021 onwards running Android 14 or higher. Users must also update Samsung Wallet to its latest version. Rakuten Payment aims to expand opportunities for cashless payments and provide a more convenient and rewarding payment experience.
