Latest renderings and uniforms for 'Earth Saver Farm' at GREEN EXPO

Plantio Inc., a social impact startup based in Shibuya, Tokyo, dedicated to democratizing agriculture and food systems by building accessible 'Agri-Food Infrastructure' for all (CEO: Koki Serizawa, hereinafter 'Plantio'), announced new developments at the成果発表会 of the 'Tokyo JC Nature Positive Tour' held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the National Olympic Memorial Youth Center. CEO Koki Serizawa took the stage at the event, hosted by the Japan Junior Chamber Tokyo and co-organized by CLASS EARTH Inc.

On this occasion, Plantio revealed for the first time the latest architectural renderings of its collaborative exhibition booth 'Earth Saver Farm' for the 2027 International Horticultural Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027), as well as the official attendant uniforms to be worn by children at the booth.

Children Expressing Their 'Sincere Hopes for the Future' in Their Own Words

Children have completed three fieldwork sessions: observing wildlife at Shinjuku Gyoen, creating bamboo planters and cultivating native species in Otemachi, and studying ecosystems at Sunshine Aquarium.

At the presentation, they shared genuine insights gained through direct contact with urban nature. Their 'sincere hopes for the future,' nurtured through these experiences, were powerfully expressed in their own words.

First Look at Sustainable Design Using Abandoned Bamboo Forests: Full Vision of 'Earth Saver Farm,' Where 'Growing Time' Is the Exhibit

The full concept of 'Earth Saver Farm,' to be exhibited at the 2027 International Horticultural Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027), was unveiled as a platform to transform children's learning into sustained action. CLASS EARTH Inc. and Plantio have been selected for the floral and greenery exhibition and are currently preparing for its realization.

On the day, Hiyoshi Tamaki, Director of the Japanese Government Garden at the 2027 International Horticultural Expo and advisor to this exhibition, also took the stage, expressing strong expectations for an exhibition where children are the protagonists. Additionally, a warm video message was delivered from Tomoki Tanaka, Vice President of the United Nations Association of Japan, who actively promotes nature-positive initiatives worldwide, encouraging the children's challenges.

This project is an agricultural and food education program where the main exhibit is not beautifully grown plants, but the process itself—'sowing, growing, harvesting, eating, and learning'—carried out by the next generation of stewards.

Transforming 'agriculture' beyond flowers and greenery into 'food' is not a special act, but an action 'anyone can do.' To experience and share this transformation, a space inspired by the traditional Japanese 'engawa' (veranda) is created, where children themselves take center stage in shaping and communicating the future.

The newly revealed renderings of this sustainable, future-oriented community farm showcase practical experiential spaces, including plans to utilize abandoned bamboo forests—a social issue in Japan—to co-create the roof structure with children, and to cultivate Japanese grape varieties on exterior walls, with plans to gift the resulting wine to the children when they become adults. It was also announced that HAGISO Inc. and Momoyama Construction Co., Ltd. will lead the design and construction.

Furthermore, as part of next-generation agritech education, a live demonstration of the AI-powered vegetable care sensor (grow CONNECT) was presented. On-site, a practical educational vision was introduced, applying data analysis technology from the digital cultivation guide 'grow' to grow endangered traditional vegetables, analyze their growth data, and apply insights to future cultivation cycles.

Official Uniforms Unveiled: Roadmap to Becoming Global 'Ambassadors'

On the day, the official uniforms for children to wear at the 2027 International Horticultural Expo's 'Earth Saver Farm' were unveiled for the first time.

The polo shirt, featuring a navy collar as a refreshing accent, is made entirely of GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton—sustainable and gentle on both skin and the environment.

GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, the world benchmark for organic textiles. Certification is granted not only when raw materials are organic but also when environmental and social criteria are met throughout production, processing, storage, and distribution.

Additionally, the top button features an original design inspired by Earth from the anime 'Terra Lateral.'

Voice actress Reine Tanié, who voices Kanade in the same anime, appeared as a special guest and delivered warm encouragement to the children who will become future ambassadors.

Children who have participated in the 'Earth Saver Family English (EFE)' program—where they learn about the environment in English—will wear these uniforms and serve as 'ambassadors' at the 2027 International Horticultural Expo, communicating their experiences and messages directly to the world.
