Polar Announces New Running Watch "POLAR Street X" Combining Style and Toughness

Polar Electro Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shinji Sakakibara), a leading company in wearable devices, announces the new running watch "POLAR Street X," designed for urban runners who value style. It is lightweight yet tough, suitable for a wide range of activities from daily commutes to running. Designed for users who enjoy urban training and lifestyle, it features a robust and mechanical design that blends seamlessly with everyday fashion.

Tough Design for Urban Runners

The Street X adopts a frame structure where the main body is secured with 8 screws. It complies with US military standard MIL-STD-810H, boasting high durability that can withstand harsh conditions such as impact, water, and heat resistance. In addition to WR50 water resistance, its lightweight design of 48g makes it comfortable for running, daily activities, and outdoor scenes. The battery offers long-lasting use, with up to 10 days in smartwatch mode, up to 43 hours in training mode with GPS + 1-second heart rate measurement on, and up to 170 hours with power-saving settings. The internal battery is also replaceable, allowing for long-term use of the device (available for a fee at Polar Customer Service).

Polar's First LED Flashlight

The Street X is the brand's first device to feature a switchable white/red LED flashlight. This enhances visibility and safety during night runs and in dark places, and is also useful for everyday lighting. The OLED display offers high visibility and supports both touch and button operations.

Hardware Evolution Beyond Pacer Pro

The Street X boasts significant hardware improvements compared to the Pacer Pro running watch. The display has evolved from a 240x240 MIP to a high-definition 416x416 OLED display, increasing resolution by approximately 1.7 times. With a 43% faster 275MHz CPU, 32MB expanded memory (total 37MB), and a 45% larger 385mAh battery, operability and performance are enhanced.

Advanced Navigation and Performance Measurement

The route guidance function, combining GPS, compass, and barometer, provides stable navigation from city streets to trails. The addition of a compass display improves visibility during navigation. It also features numerous functions useful for runners, such as wrist-based running power measurement, running tests, and a zone lock function that allows running at a constant heart rate, supporting performance improvement.

In addition to running, it supports over 170 sports, including newly added popular activities like Padel, Pickleball, and fitness races.

Price and Sales Period

The Street X will be available from Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at authorized Polar product retailers nationwide, including online stores. Pre-orders begin today on the official Polar online store. The suggested retail price is 43,780 JPY (tax included), and it comes in three colors: Night Black, Snow White, and Forest Green, with two wristband sizes (S and M/L) included.

Forest Green will be released simultaneously on the official online store and is scheduled for general release around mid-May.

Wristbands will be released simultaneously only on the official Polar online store, in colors matching the main unit, with a suggested retail price of 5,280 JPY (tax included), and two wristband sizes (S and M/L) included.
