'The Battle Cats' x Nihon Rikagaku Industry: First Collab Recreates Nekokubankeshi

PONOS Corporation announced a first-ever collaboration between its mobile game 'The Battle Cats' and Nihon Rikagaku Industry Co., Ltd., a stationery maker approaching its 90th anniversary in 2027. Two items go on sale June 5 at the Nyanko Daishoten Online store. The Nekokubankeshi L (2,200 yen, tax included, 165x70x45 mm) is a full-size replica of the in-game board-eraser character, co-developed with Nihon Rikagaku using the same materials and components as their genuine Dustless Raaful eraser. Each unit is handcrafted at the company's factory in Bibai, Hokkaido. A smaller Nekokubankeshi Strap (1,870 yen, 78x48x40 mm) is also available. Both are classified as novelty goods and are not guaranteed to function as actual board erasers. Nihon Rikagaku, founded in 1937, is known for employing a workforce where approximately 70% of staff are individuals with intellectual disabilities. 'The Battle Cats' has surpassed 111.11 million cumulative downloads as of March 2026.
