PowerX, Inc. has delivered 20 units of its 'Mega Power 2700A' battery storage system (total capacity: 54.84 MWh) to an extra-high voltage battery storage station developed by Kamigumi Co., Ltd. in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture. The station was completed on May 27 and marks the first extra-high voltage storage station to adopt the PowerX system. The 'Kasai Mega Power Storage Station' connects to the Kansai area power grid, charging during periods of surplus power and discharging during shortages to stabilize the power supply-demand balance. This is expected to contribute to the further promotion of renewable energy. This project is the first in a series of deliveries to Kamigumi, with further projects planned in Tokyo and Oita Prefecture, expanding the collaboration between the two companies. PowerX remains committed to contributing to Japan's carbon neutrality through the provision of battery storage systems developed and manufactured domestically.
