Para-Sports Classes Program
Since 2020, Kanagawa Prefecture has been hosting para-sports classes at the Prefectural Sports Center. For FY2026, the program will offer 25 classes across 12 different sports, totaling 125 sessions.
### (1) Para-Sports Trial Event - **Date**: Saturday, June 27, 2026, 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM - **Venue**: Asante Sports Park (Prefectural Sports Center / 7-1-2 Zengo, Fujisawa City) - **Sports**: Trampoline, Soccer, Flying Disc, Table Tennis, Goalball, Dance, and trial corners for Boccia, Beam Rifle, etc. - **Entry**: Walk-ins welcome on the day (no registration required). Families and supporters are also invited to join.
### (2) Regular Para-Sports Classes - **Schedule**: September 3, 2026 (Thu) – February 20, 2027 (Sat) - **Disciplines**: Swimming, Table Tennis, Sound Table Tennis, Aerobic Dance, Flying Disc, Trampoline, Bouldering, Soccer, Basketball, Boccia, Goalball, and Dance (online options available). - **Eligibility**: Residents, workers, or students in Kanagawa aged 6+ (as of April 1, 2026) who hold a disability certificate or equivalent. - **How to Apply**: Submit via the electronic application system or mail to the Kanagawa Para-Sports Association.
Para-Sports Leader Skill-up Training
This series is designed for sports instructors and supporters to gain the latest knowledge and skills.
1. **Session 1 (Aug 1)**: Goalball instruction (Lecturer: Toru Kumagai) 2. **Session 2 (Sep 26)**: Inclusive sports development (Lecturer: Kyosuke Uchida) 3. **Session 3 (Oct 10)**: Wheelchair user training (Lecturer: Mizuki Sugawara) 4. **Session 4 (Nov 29)**: Intellectual disability soccer (Lecturer: Masayuki Inaba) 5. **Session 5 (Jan 23)**: Mental training for sports (Lecturer: Genki Kobayashi)
