Following the success of Japanese athletes at the Olympics and other events, urban sports have gained significant attention. Leveraging this momentum, Kanagawa Prefecture will hold trial events for skateboarding, BMX, and breakdancing across the region to create opportunities for residents to engage with these sports. The first event will feature skateboarding.

1. First Trial Event (Event: Skateboarding) (1) Date: Saturday, May 30, Reiwa 8 (2026) *Rain or shine (2) Venue: Dynacity (208 Nakazato, Odawara City), West 1F in front of Canyon Stage (3) Target: Mainly preschool children to high school students (4) Participation Fee: Free (5) Content: A beginner-friendly skateboarding session covering the basics. Includes demonstrations by professional instructors.

<Schedule> - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (3 sets of 20 mins) Registration starts at 10:45 AM - 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM (3 sets of 20 mins) Registration starts at 1:15 PM - 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (3 sets of 20 mins) Registration starts at 2:45 PM *Each session lasts 20 minutes.

<How to Participate> Fill out the application form available at the venue's reception desk on the day. Please note that participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, and you may not be able to choose your preferred time.

2. Media Coverage Members of the media wishing to cover the event should visit the venue on the day.
