Kanagawa Prefecture Recruitment: Drone Development and Demonstration Projects for Regional Challenges

Kanagawa Prefecture has launched a nationwide call for promising drone development and demonstration projects to enhance social acceptance and promote the practical use of drones within the prefecture. Comprehensive support will be provided from development to commercialization.

1 Recruitment Categories Projects contributing to the resolution of regional issues in Kanagawa, such as disaster prevention, agriculture, and infrastructure inspection.

### Drone Development Projects Description: Development of new drone prototypes with sufficient safety and reliability, targeting commercialization and implementation in Kanagawa within three years (by March 31, 2029). Grant Limit: Up to 12 million yen per project (incl. tax). Number of Selections: 2 projects.

### Drone Demonstration Projects Description: Demonstration tests for new drones or new drone-based services, targeting commercialization and implementation in Kanagawa within three years (by March 31, 2029). Grant Limit: Up to 8 million yen per project (incl. tax). Number of Selections: 2 projects.

2 Key Requirements - High public benefit, with significant expected effects and feasibility for establishing new business models. - Collaboration with local SMEs or universities during the project or subsequent business expansion. - Ensuring safety and reliability, including protection against cyberattacks and data leakage risks.

3 Application Period From May 26, 2026 (Tue) to June 30, 2026 (Tue), 17:00. *Note: An 'Expression of Interest' must be submitted by June 26, 2026 (Fri), 17:00 prior to the final application.
