Kingdom × Saga Prefecture: Accelerating the 'Kingdom' Transformation from Airport to Hot Spring Town

As part of its information dissemination project 'Saga-Prise!', Saga Prefecture has been running the 'Kingdom × Saga Prefecture ~Don't let Saga's fire go out~' project since January 2026. This collaboration, realized to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the serialization of 'Kingdom' (by Yasuhisa Hara, published by Shueisha) by Saga Prefecture-born manga artist Yasuhisa Hara, was a great success, attracting approximately 210,000 participants in total during the roughly two-month period from late January to March, with many fans visiting from all over the country.

In response to this positive reception and numerous requests from Kingdom fans and Saga Prefecture residents for the project's continuation, the project has been extended until Wednesday, September 30. In addition to popular initiatives such as 'Saga Kingdom Airport', the Guinness World Record™ certified 'Kingdom Reading Embankment', and the Furuyu Onsen campaign, the project will evolve this summer with new decorations that will immerse the Furuyu Onsen town in the world of 'Kingdom' under the concept of 'Furuyu Kingdom Hot Spring Village', as well as updates to the 'Saga Kingdom Airport' decorations.

List of Updates

1. 'Furuyu Kingdom Hot Spring Village' Appears in Mid-July!

Titled 'Furuyu Kingdom Hot Spring Village', the main street (cobblestone area) of the hot spring town will be adorned with impressive gate decorations, street flags, photo spot panels where visitors can take pictures with characters, and more, spreading the world of 'Kingdom' throughout the town. Visitors can enjoy encounters with 'Kingdom' characters as they walk through the hot spring town. Furthermore, original collaboration stickers (C prize) will be added to the prizes of the 'Kingdom × Furuyu Onsen' campaign. In addition to the existing A and B prizes, the 'Ouki's Bath' series will be further enhanced.

Enjoy a 'stay-type experience' different from Saga Kingdom Airport, exploring the hot spring town.

● New Decorations in Furuyu Onsen Town

Period: Mid-July 2026 (planned) to Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Location: Furuyu Onsen Town Main Street (Furuyu, Fuji-cho, Saga City, Saga Prefecture)

Contents: Gate decorations, street flags, photo spot panels, character decorations at various locations, etc.

● Addition of Original Collaboration Sticker (C Prize) to 'Kingdom × Furuyu Onsen Campaign'

Addition Timing: Mid-July 2026 (planned)

Distribution Condition: For those who stay overnight in Furuyu Onsen Town or spend 1,500 yen (tax included) or more at participating stores.

Contents: Original collaboration sticker (C prize) added to lottery prizes.

A Prize: Ouki's Bath 'Original Tenugui (Hand Towel)', B Prize: Ouki's Bath 'Original Illustration Card', C Prize: Ouki's Bath 'Original Collaboration Sticker'

2. 'Saga Kingdom Airport' Decorations Updated!

In line with the project extension, the decorations at 'Saga Kingdom Airport' will also be updated. New 'Kingdom' decorations will be added to the Kyushu Saga International Airport Tourist Information Center, the entrance automatic doors, and the baggage claim carousel area.

The space will evolve to envelop visitors even more deeply in the world of 'Kingdom' from the moment they arrive in Saga.

● Redesign of Original Collaboration Sticker

The design of the popular 'Saga Kingdom Airport' original collaboration sticker giveaway campaign will be renewed from mid-July.

Work Introduction: 'Kingdom'

The time is the Spring and Autumn Warring States period in ancient China. In this great war era where conflict had continued for over 500 years, there was a young king aiming to unify China and a single servant aspiring to become the greatest general under heaven. The dream seen by these two boys involves the fate of seven states and the lives of over 300 characters, leading to a grand future no one knows yet. This is a blockbuster historical epic comic depicting the most endless battle in history: the unification of China. Serialization began in 'Weekly Young Jump' in January 2006, and it celebrated its 20th anniversary in January 2026. Volume 1 was released on May 19, 2006. With 79 volumes published so far, the cumulative circulation exceeds 120 million copies (including digital versions).

About 'Saga-Prise!', Saga Prefecture's Regional Revitalization Project through Information Dissemination

Saga Prefecture started a regional revitalization project through information dissemination in 2013, and has been disseminating information as 'Saga-Prise!' since July 2015. Collaborating with companies and content, it has implemented 43 projects to date, including 'Saga Prefecture Vice Governor Shima Kosaku', 'Godzilla vs. Saga', 'Nintama Rantarō × Saga Prefecture', and 'Kingdom × Saga Prefecture'.
