[Saitama Prefecture] Released the 'Carer' edition of the 'Understanding through Manga' series

Saitama Prefecture has created two new volumes in its 'Understanding through Manga' series, titled the 'Carer' edition, to provide easy-to-understand information on preparing for caregiving and balancing work with caregiving duties. The two volumes are the 'Caregiving Preparation Edition' and the 'Working Carer Edition.'

The 'Caregiving Preparation Edition' compares a protagonist who struggles with sudden caregiving alone without consulting anyone, against a protagonist who, through minor prior preparation, manages to balance work and caregiving by utilizing the help of others. The 'Working Carer Edition' depicts a protagonist who grows while managing work and caregiving by utilizing long-term care insurance services, as well as support from company colleagues and local community members.

Furthermore, to deepen understanding of the 'Community-based Integrated Care System'—which aims to create a society where people can continue to live in their familiar communities as they age—the 'Understanding through Manga' series has previously published 11 volumes covering themes such as 'Inclusive Society,' 'Understanding Dementia,' and 'Living Life Your Way Until the End,' in addition to these two new volumes.

The new volumes will be available starting Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM. We encourage you to view them along with the other themes.
