About the University

Tohoku University of Agriculture and Forestry opened in April 2022 as the only public professional university specializing in agriculture and forestry in the Tohoku region. It aims to foster leaders in agriculture and forestry with excellent technical skills, management capabilities, and international competitiveness. The curriculum is enriched not only with knowledge directly related to agricultural and forestry production and management but also with subjects in related fields such as architecture, fermentation science, and brewing science, enabling students to steadily pursue careers as leading agricultural and forestry managers in Japan.

* Upon graduation, you will receive a "Bachelor of Professional Studies" degree.

Curriculum Features

Tohoku University of Agriculture and Forestry particularly excels in its abundant practical training opportunities. With over 100 hectares of land, including fields and experimental forests, students can deepen the knowledge gained in lectures through immediate hands-on practice, leading to efficient learning. Furthermore, from the second to the fourth year, students will participate in "Field Practical Training" (long-term off-campus internships at companies such as agricultural corporations and forestry cooperatives) for 30 days annually, totaling 90 days.
