Yamanashi Prefecture has completed a booklet capturing regional resources as 'Cultural Terroir'. A kickoff symposium will be held on June 11, 2026, featuring the Governor and experts to discuss Yamanashi's identity and future branding.

The Yamanashi Design Center, a design promotion hub established by Yamanashi Prefecture (Governor: Kotaro Nagasaki), has been working on an initiative to view various regional resources—such as nature, climate, history, lifestyle, and the resulting industries and culture—as 'Cultural Terroir'.

As a result of this effort, a new publication titled 'What is Yamanashi: Cultural Terroir Woven by Climate, History, and Human Activity' has been completed. To celebrate its completion, share its background concepts, and expand the initiative to local municipalities, a symposium will be held on June 11, 2026.
