Fukaya Tanabata Festival

The Fukaya Tanabata Festival has its roots in the "Star Festival" held during the Edo period when it was a post town. Held annually in July, it is a major festival event in Fukaya City, attracting many tourists every year. Free shuttle buses will operate between Fukaya Hanazono Premium Outlets and the south exit of Fukaya Station on Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th. Kumagaya Uchiwa Festival

The Uchiwa Festival is an annual festival of Yasaka Shrine that has continued since the Edo period. The procession of 12 floats and stalls through the city accompanied by Kumagaya Bayashi is called "the best Gion in Kanto" due to its splendor. Floats and stalls gather in the festival square for three days of intense excitement.
