Summer Recommendation 1: Play a Lot and Cool Down ♪ Water Play & River Play Spots
When you think of outdoor summer fun at Takino, it's "River Play & Water Play"!
Within the spacious park, you can enjoy river play and water play at a total of 4 locations, tailored to how your child plays, their age, and your objectives. For those who want to easily enjoy river play, the "Atsubetsu River" in the Torrent Zone is recommended!
If you want to enjoy searching for creatures and nature along with water play, please extend your visit to the "Forest Classroom" or "Stream Plaza" in the Takino Forest Zone. The "Forest Murmur" in the Central Zone is shallow and a safe spot for small children to play.
Why not visit the 4 water play areas depending on your mood that day?
"Easy" River Play!
The "Atsubetsu River" in the Torrent Zone is the
largest river play area in the park!
There is also a cooking facility near the cool river,
and you can also enjoy BBQs with your family and friends.

"Camp" this summer!
This summer, let's enjoy camping under the wide-open sky! Auto Resort Takino opened in 1994 as the first auto campsite in a national park in Japan. Valuing interaction with nature and guests, it has become a comprehensive base for outdoor recreation centered around the campsite, with "safe," "clean," and "quiet" accommodation facilities for a more comfortable stay. Refreshing blue flowers that color the summer! Nepeta 'Walker's Low' (Catmint) and Salvia, with their cool blue hues, catch the eye! About Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park
Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park, Hokkaido's only national park, is a paradise of nature located about a 30-minute drive from Sapporo city center. It features vast flower fields adorned with seasonal blooms, spectacular waterfalls and clear streams, and forest walks enveloped in deep greenery. In spring, tulips, cherry blossoms, and alpine plants bloom. In summer, sunflowers and blue flowers shine against the blue sky. In autumn, Kochia turns bright red and autumn leaves paint the entire mountain. In winter, it transforms into a magical snowy landscape, offering winter activities unique to Takino, including "Japan's largest" 200m tube sledding course, making it a leisure spot for all seasons.
