本企画展は奈良時代に仏教文化とともに伝わった花蓮をテーマにボタニカルアートと歴史・文化を通して、その魅力田花蓮が育んできた交流の歴史を紹介いたします。会場では植物画家・日野彰子氏によるボタニカルアート16作品をはじめ、西ノ京4ケ寺（西大寺・喜光寺・唐招提寺・薬師寺）、奈良文化財研究所及び奈良市観光協会の協力のもと、花蓮にまつわる歴史・文化やフォトコンテスト作品もご覧いただけます。

また、会期中にはギャラリートークやボタニカルアート体験プログラム関連イベント予定しており、花蓮を切り口に奈良の歴史文化の魅力を広く発信します。
