A festival plaza where you can enjoy Bon Odori and festival stalls in a cool indoor space.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, and Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa (Location: 3-13-1 Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Ayumu Imai) will hold "Takanawa Summer Festival 2026" for two days on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, 2026, allowing guests to enjoy a nostalgic Japanese summer in a cool indoor setting.

Following last year's record-breaking heatwave, this summer is also expected to be extremely hot. To allow families to enjoy their summer vacation safely and nearby, events will be held primarily in a cool indoor environment. This comfortable space, unaffected by the weather, will allow for the creation of precious summer memories for families.

In the festival plaza, which evokes a nostalgic Japanese summer, there will be festival stalls offering attractions such as goldfish scooping, water balloon fishing, and shooting games, enjoyable for both children and adults, along with Bon Odori dances enlivened by local neighborhood associations. Food stalls will also offer treats like candy apples and shaved ice, further enhancing the festive atmosphere. A special highlight this year is the opportunity to challenge sumo wrestlers. Guests can experience a moment of connection with Japanese traditional culture by engaging in friendly competitions and practice drills with real, powerful sumo wrestlers. Furthermore, to provide children with opportunities to learn while having fun, we will once again host experiential events in cooperation with local police and fire departments, as well as workshops to experience Kyoto's traditions.

We will create a nostalgic and smiles-filled time, allowing families to make summer memories in a cool and comfortable space.
