Bando Chemical Industries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) has set a target to reduce the Bando Group's CO2 emissions from fuel use and electricity by 42% by fiscal year 2033 compared to fiscal year 2023, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality with virtually zero CO2 emissions for the Bando Group by 2050. This new Bando Group CO2 emission reduction target has been set in line with the 1.5°C scenario based on the Paris Agreement. Moving forward, the company will steadily advance efforts to achieve the target in cooperation with each group company, through measures such as introducing solar power generation systems, updating to high-efficiency equipment, reducing energy loss, converting to new manufacturing methods, utilizing renewable energy, and fuel conversion.
