PTC's Windchill Selected as Official ePDM Solution for U.S. Army

PTC announced that the U.S. Army has selected the Windchill® product lifecycle management (PLM) solution as its official product data management (PDM) and PLM platform. Through a DEVCOM-led initiative, the U.S. Army is building a modern PLM environment to enhance the management, governance, and reuse of reliable product data across the entire Army.

Enterprise Product Data Management (ePDM) has been designated as a Department of the Army Approved Data Platform (DADP), serving as a trusted system of record for managing product data and product lifecycle management information in accordance with Army data platform guidelines. The ePDM enables controlled enterprise workflows, configuration management, and end-to-end business processes supporting the development, production, and maintenance of weapon systems. Furthermore, it achieves improvements in data quality, reduction of redundancies, and strengthening of cybersecurity across the Army.

PTC promotes a vision of the 'Intelligent Product Lifecycle' through its product portfolio, including Windchill.
