Eikei University (President: Mutsuhiro Arinobu, Naka-ku, Hiroshima) held an opening ceremony and a certificate awarding ceremony for the "Hiroshima Value Shift Program" on the 15th floor of the university on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The "Hiroshima Value Shift Program" is an initiative designed to accept core talent active in metropolitan areas as "Eikei University Visiting Researchers," match them with companies in Hiroshima Prefecture facing management challenges, and address those issues through direct collaboration.
On the day of the event, 24 participants attended, including participating researchers, representatives from host companies, and related organizations.
The ceremony began with an address by Eikei University President Mutsuhiro Arinobu, followed by an overview of the program presented by Professor Yoshinobu Hayata, Director of the Social Design Center. Representatives from the newly matched companies and the researchers shared their expectations and aspirations. Comments from the companies included, "Through collaboration with the visiting researchers, we aim not only to solve our company's problems but also to explore possibilities for creating new value," while researchers stated, "I want to contribute to the development of Hiroshima's companies and the region while leveraging my own experience and expertise."
Additionally, certificates were awarded to each researcher by Professor Hayata. The ceremony concluded with a closing address by Naoto Tanaka, Board Chairman of the National Business Promotion Cooperative.
The visiting researchers participating in this program will reside in Hiroshima Prefecture for six months until the end of November 2026. For four days a week, they will work at their matched companies to organize and solve management issues, while attending seminars at Eikei University one day a week. Through this program, they aim to enhance the value of themselves, the companies, and the region.
