Nobunaga's Ambition: Shinsen, the latest installment in the 'Shinsen' series developed by Qookka Games under the official license of Koei Tecmo Games' Nobunaga's Ambition: Shinsei, has released a special cross-interview for the event 'VTuber Tenka Fubu: Princesses' True War.' In conjunction, a commemorative follow-and-retweet campaign is being held on the official X (formerly Twitter) account.

In the interview, VTubers Shigure Mito and emika share their unique experiences with Nobunaga's Ambition: Shinsen, discussing the game's distinctive appeal, memorable moments, and the strategic depth that defines the gameplay. Discover the魅力 of 'Shinsen' through their individual perspectives.

Shigure Mito and emika's Journey: From Beginners to Rulers of a Nation

Both players began the game with no prior knowledge, yet within approximately one month, they rose through the chaos of the warring states era alongside their allies, becoming renowned leaders—"daimyos"—commanding their own factions.

Nobunaga's Ambition: Shinsen, an innovative fusion of Sengoku-era SLG and RPG, is developed under the official license of Nobunaga's Ambition: Shinsei. As rookie castle lords, players train troops, manage economies, develop and organize over 100 historical generals, and strive for national unification on a strategic map rich with tactical elements.

For the 'VTuber Tenka Fubu: Princesses' True War' event, 30 VTubers were divided into two factions—Toyotomi and Tokugawa—and engaged in a fierce, month-long battle that seamlessly blended live streaming with in-game gameplay. Success was measured not only by app downloads and stream views but also by in-game achievements such as battle merits and castle sieges.

This interview features Shigure Mito, who ranked first overall in the event, and emika, who achieved the highest battle merit among all participants. Both entered the chaotic Sengoku world as complete beginners, and they share how they met their faction comrades and overcame challenges to grow stronger.

From Beginner to National Ruler

Both started from the same point: complete beginners with no idea where to begin. What enabled them to climb to the top?

— You've both grown from beginners to rulers of your own nations. What do you consider the most important factor in this journey? Were there any allies or rivals who acted as 'mentors' during this time?

Shigure Mito: At first, I had no idea what I was doing, but the key was simply not being afraid to act and ask questions.

As for 'mentors,' it was definitely the senior players in my faction.

Whenever I asked for help, they patiently explained everything and even showed me examples. Without that supportive environment, I don't think I could have become a national ruler.

The 'Beginner's Guide' edict created by veteran faction members—advice from experienced players became a vital learning resource.

emika: Without a doubt, the most important thing was 'the wonderful comrades I met in my faction!'

I consider everyone in my faction—especially former national rulers—as the teachers who helped me grow.

I started with absolutely no knowledge, but every member of the faction kindly and thoroughly guided me from the beginning. Thanks to this warm environment, I am where I am today.

I truly feel grateful for joining this faction!

I still often talk about this with everyone I met in the beginner's room (group chat).

The Factions as Seen by the Two

What does the in-game guild, the 'ichimon' (faction), mean to each of them? Their one-word descriptions clearly reflect their personalities.

— If you had to describe your faction in one word, what would it be? Also, do you have any memorable episodes with your faction members?

Shigure Mito: In one word—'family.' Despite differing roles, personalities, and activity times, our unity in critical moments is incredible.

What stood out was the castle siege schedule—five sieges, three times a day. It was an intense schedule requiring preparation late at night and early in the morning. Even when I thought it might be too tough, I'd suddenly see everyone gathering, pushing through with sheer determination... That overwhelming momentum and excitement are unforgettable.

emika: In one word—'my beloved baldies (ohagesama)!' (laughs)

I don't know why, but I suddenly noticed everyone in the faction had changed their profile icons to bald characters...

The chat becomes sparkly and fun, and I always end up laughing during streams.

But it's not just playful—some of the strongest frontline fighters and reliable strategists who secure key positions also use the bald icon. So I shaved my head too, to draw strength from them! (laughs)

No matter how tense the situation, they're all incredibly dependable, kind gentlemen and ladies. This contrast and homely atmosphere make our faction the best.

The Moment They Felt 'This Is True Warring States'

— During gameplay, was there a moment when you thought, 'This is truly the real Warring States era!'

Shigure Mito: Reconnaissance, mind games, alliance coordination, reading each other's hidden moves...

There were moments when a single decision instantly changed the battlefield. I thought, 'Is this how Sengoku warlords felt back then?'

emika: I later learned that our 'Bousou Team' actually operates with somewhat unique principles and ideals. In the world of 'Shinsen,' our approach isn't considered 'normal' at all.

Yet, despite that, we continued forward with unwavering 'justice and belief,' charging ahead with the passionate spirit of 'achieving unification through strength!' That's when I strongly felt, 'This is true Warring States!'

And perhaps that fiery 'Bousou spirit' resonated with players across the server, because in the end, our ranks kept growing.

It felt just like in history textbooks—understanding each other not through words, but through 'conversation with swords,' you know?

The Most Memorable Battle

Among the many battles fought, which one left the deepest impression on them? Both stories are filled with intense tension and the emotion of victory achieved with comrades.

— Looking back on your battles, which one was the most memorable? Please describe the scene in detail.

Shigure Mito: Not so much a battle, but a castle siege—the assault on Nijo Palace.

It was my first time taking two full days to capture a castle. Even with cooperation from other factions, it was extremely tough. While positioning advantageously, we repeatedly sent elimination squads
