Triumphing in a Fierce Final Battle: Japan's First World Champions

In the final stage, the Match Point Finals, an unprecedented large-scale battle unfolded under the 'Match Point Rule,' where teams earned points based on match rankings and kill counts, and the first team to win a match after reaching the match point threshold would be crowned champion. Out of 20 participating teams, 11 reached the match point threshold. UNLIMIT secured the championship title three times throughout the Match Point Finals. In the final Match 10, with only two teams remaining, UNLIMIT defeated fellow Japanese team ZETA DIVISION in a decisive final showdown where both teams would have won the championship by securing a single victory, thus clinching the title.

Furthermore, Peace, who led the team, was selected as the tournament MVP, setting a new milestone for Japan's Apex Legends scene on both individual and team levels.

Record Nine Teams from APAC North Showcase Depth and Strength

At the 'ALGS Year 6 Split 1 Playoffs at EWC,' a record nine APAC North teams participated, including UNLIMIT, ZETA DIVISION, REJECT, ENTER FORCE.36, White Grim Reaper NEO, Dory, TriniTY, KINOTROPE CLUB, and TIE. Amid fierce competition from global powerhouses, multiple teams from APAC North advanced into the upper ranks, showcasing the high level of skill in the APAC North and Japanese teams. The fact that the final championship race came down to a matchup between two Japanese teams serves as a symbolic representation of this strength.
