Rakuten Securities to Hold "Parent-Child Asset Building School" at Tokyo Stock Exchange During Summer Vacation

Rakuten Securities Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yuji Kusunoki; hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten Securities") announced that it will hold the "Parent-Child Asset Building School - Summer Vacation Kids NISA Special -" on August 13, 2026 (Thu) from 2:00 PM at the Tokyo Stock Exchange (Chuo-ku, Tokyo). This event will offer programs useful for children's asset building, including how to utilize the NISA investment framework for minors (Minor's Designated Cumulative Investment Account, hereinafter referred to as "Kids NISA") which will begin in January 2027, targeting individuals from 0 to 17 years old. The event will also be streamed online via YouTube, allowing participation from all over the country. On-site participation is free for any Rakuten Securities customer with children (parents/guardians) and allows participation with their children. The online stream is available to anyone, including those who do not have a Rakuten Securities account, without prior registration.

The "Parent-Child Asset Building School - Summer Vacation Kids NISA Special -" is an event where Rakuten Securities customers and primarily elementary school children (Note 1) can learn about building their children's assets in a fun way, and will be held on August 13, 2026 (Thu) at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In anticipation of Kids NISA starting in January 2027, Mr. Hasen Kuniyama, President and CEO of FOX UNION Inc., and Ms. Mitsuaki Yokoyama, Household Financial Reconstruction Consultant and Financial Planner, will explain the significance of building children's assets, concrete methods for asset building, and how to manage minor accounts. Comedian Yutty, who is also a parent struggling with raising one child, will be invited as a guest to provide a program where participants can learn about children and money in an enjoyable manner. Rakuten Securities has previously offered opportunities to learn knowledge applicable to asset building, such as an online seminar for parents and children on the theme of "pocket money" held in December 2022, and the "Asset Building College® for Family" in June 2024, which allowed participation with children. These financial education programs have been well-received by customers in their 40s and younger, and by parenting generations, who account for over 70% of Rakuten Securities account holders.

Rakuten Securities conducted a survey (Note 2) targeting parents about Kids NISA and financial education for their children's future. The results showed that 84% of respondents answered "very necessary" or "somewhat necessary" when asked if they thought financial knowledge education is necessary for their children, while only 11% answered that there are opportunities to learn financial knowledge at school or at home. In response to these results, Rakuten Securities will hold the "Parent-Child Asset Building School - Summer Vacation Kids NISA Special -" to provide an opportunity for parents and children to engage with money in a fun way during summer vacation.
