Recruit Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Keiichi Ushida), which operates the travel information service 'Jalan net', and the Jalan Research Center, an organization for tourism research and regional promotion, will announce the 'Jalan Award 2025' (Kinki/Hokuriku Region) to honor accommodations in the Kinki and Hokuriku regions that have achieved outstanding results during fiscal year 2025 (April 2025 - March 2026).
About the Jalan Award
Jalan has been presenting the 'Jalan Award' since 2012 with the aim of recognizing accommodations and regions that achieve outstanding results in a given fiscal year. This will be the 13th presentation and announcement of the 'Jalan Award 2025'.
Since its inception, Jalan has been discovering and disseminating the appeal of accommodations and regions. Through the 'Jalan Award', we aim to contribute to the evolution and development of the travel industry by sharing and recognizing excellent initiatives.

Instead of giving up due to poor catches caused by climate change, the prefecture focused on underutilized fish and held hands-on workshops to teach top chefs' cooking techniques. 55 facilities in the prefecture participated in the project, leading to the development of over 100 menu items. Furthermore, plans were developed that combined琵琶湖 (Lake Biwa) fishing and lake fish cooking experiences, laying the foundation for passing down food culture to the next generation. This is an excellent example of a region transcending various barriers and working together to solve future challenges.

Driven by a desire for guests to deeply enjoy their renowned hot springs, the facility conceived of a unique value proposition. They established a competitive advantage through the innovative idea of offering a "facility tour" of the normally off-limits underground hot spring facilities to overnight guests. This initiative has received high praise from guests who experienced the tour, attracting a wide range of age groups. It is an excellent example of establishing a new customer acquisition strategy through a one-of-a-kind added value.
