Remise Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture, President and CEO: Yudo Sato, hereinafter "Remise") has been providing the embedded multi-payment terminal "salo-01," which supports all cashless payment methods including credit cards, electronic money, and code payments, for automatic payment machines and vending machines. Now, its new model, "salo-02," has been adopted for Japan System Technology Co., Ltd.'s (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President and CEO: Taku Hirabayashi, hereinafter "Japan System Technology") "In-House Cashless System."

"salo-02" Adopted for Japan System Technology Co., Ltd.'s "In-House Cashless System"

Background and Challenges of Implementation

Japan System Technology operates an "In-House Cashless System" that allows payments at employee cafeterias and company stores to be deducted from salaries. However, many companies face challenges in handling payments from business travelers, partner employees, and guests for whom salary deductions are not applicable. While conventional ticket vending machines and POS registers supporting code payments and electronic money had high introduction costs, making them difficult to implement easily, the company developed its own settlement software and achieved multi-payment by integrating it with "salo-02." This enables both salary deduction payments using employee IDs and multi-payment support for external users, at an easily adoptable price point.

Reasons for Adopting "salo-02" and Process of Technical Integration

Japan System Technology initially conducted verification with "salo-01" but decided to adopt the new model upon the release of the "salo-02" verification environment, which offered superior operability and operational management features.

For technical integration, design was based on a draft interface specification, followed by actual device verification upon the provision of SDKs and verification machines. To ensure smooth operation, both development departments collaborated closely, thoroughly reviewed specifications regularly, and conducted extensive real-device testing, enabling completion of the integration concurrently with the release of "salo-02." The company aims to expand the "In-House Cashless System," which integrates employee ID payments and multi-payments, beyond employee cafeterias and stores to various industries and usage scenarios, such as welfare services and company events.
