Ricoh Japan Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Toru Kasai) announced that it will begin offering the "RICOH Scan Suite Text Pickup Option," an application that streamlines transcription work, as a paid option for its cloud-based scan application "RICOH Scan Suite" starting April 10, 2026.
The scan application "RICOH Scan Suite," launched on February 6, 2026, offers various paid options that can be selected according to the purpose of use. We are now adding a new paid option to our lineup and commencing its offering.
The "RICOH Scan Suite Text Pickup Option," which we are now offering, is an application that can be used via a web browser. It can extract character strings and table information in text format from paper documents scanned by Ricoh multifunction devices or professional image scanners "RICOH fi Series," or from PDF files imported from a PC, thereby streamlining transcription work into applications such as Excel. For example, you can extract necessary information from quotations received from suppliers in paper or PDF format and transcribe it into your company's prepared Excel quotation format, which helps reduce the burden of work.
