Revasta Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takumi Takahashi) announced that Ando Hazama Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhiko Kuniya) has implemented all four services of 'TansoMiru,' a CO2 calculation cloud service for construction sites, to alleviate on-site burdens and accelerate the aggregation of CO2 emissions data.
Simultaneously, a case study highlighting the implementation background, effects, and future prospects at Ando Hazama has been released. The implementation of 'TansoMiru' has streamlined CO2 emissions aggregation, resulting in an approximately 90% reduction in annual aggregation workload. Starting in fiscal 2026, Ando Hazama aims to expand the scope of sites using 'TansoMiru' for emissions aggregation, working towards company-wide deployment.
Background of Implementation In recent years, Ando Hazama has accelerated its sustainability efforts, identifying 'creation of environmental value' as a key theme in its long-term vision, 'Ando Hazama VISION2030,' formulated in February 2020. As part of this commitment, the company obtained 'SBT' certification in December 2019 and joined 'RE100' in the same year.
However, practically, calculating and aggregating CO2 emissions for each construction site was time-consuming and labor-intensive. Previously, data was aggregated incrementally from sites to branches to the head office using worksheets, resulting in time lags.
Ando Hazama decided to implement 'TansoMiru' based on its successful adoption of other Revasta services such as the electronic manifest service 'e-reverse.com' and construction site management service 'Buildee,' recognizing the potential for DX to reduce on-site burden and accelerate data aggregation.
Effects of Implementation Between 2023 and 2025, Ando Hazama sequentially introduced and launched services under the 'TansoMiru' suite. Following implementation, data entered at construction sites became viewable in real-time by branches and head office, eliminating the need for data transmission and aggregation associated with worksheets.
Furthermore, CO2 emissions can now be automatically calculated based on power usage data via 'TansoMiru Denryoku' and manifest information via 'TansoMiru Sanpai,' reducing the burden of input and verification at sites and branches. As a result, the aggregation workload at branches and head office was significantly streamlined, achieving an approximately 90% reduction in annual aggregation workload.
Future Outlook Ando Hazama intends to sequentially expand the number of construction sites using 'TansoMiru.' Shingo Maeno, Manager of the ESG Strategy Group, Corporate Planning Department, Management Strategy Division, expressed expectations that it will 'make it easier to grasp the transition of CO2 emissions company-wide,' while Megumi Hiratsuka, General Manager of the Quality and Environmental Department, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Headquarters, commented that 'an environment where data necessary for CO2 calculation can be accumulated during daily operations at construction sites has been established.'
