RX Japan Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takeshi Tanaka) has decided to host the inaugural trade exhibition 'Japan Tableware & Cookware Export Expo' starting in the summer of 2027.
This event will be held concurrently with the 'Japanese Food Export Expo' organized by RX Japan, creating a new exhibition that promotes Japanese culinary culture to the world through both 'food' and 'tableware/cookware'.
Background In recent years, the increase in Japanese restaurants and the growing popularity of Japanese cuisine globally have led to expanding demand for Japanese tableware and cookware.
For tableware and cookware manufacturers, overseas expansion has become a critical growth strategy. Furthermore, triggered by the recovery in inbound demand, an increasing number of companies are looking toward international markets.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and JETRO are strengthening export support for Japanese food culture, including food and tableware, fueling a growing momentum for exports across the industry.
Against this backdrop, this exhibition was launched as a platform to communicate Japanese culinary culture to the world more comprehensively.
