Canon and Siemens Join '∞ mugen' Special Exhibition Featuring Global XR Device Makers, Total of Eight Companies Assemble

RX Japan announced that Canon and Siemens will participate in the special exhibition area '∞ mugen' at the 'XR & Metaverse Expo' (June 17–19, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight).

The XR & Metaverse Expo is one of Japan's largest professional exhibitions where services and technologies leveraging XR (a collective term for VR, AR, and MR) and the metaverse converge. With this third announcement, following the first and second waves (HTC NIPPON, XREAL, Shiftall, NTT QONOQ Devices, Even Realities, and PICO), a total of eight key industry players have assembled.

XR and metaverse technologies have moved beyond entertainment and are entering a phase of full-scale social implementation in daily life and industrial business settings. From business DX, such as digital twins and improved remote work quality, to new entertainment experiences through spatial computing and creator expression, the value of XR is expanding in numerous directions.

In this trend, the '∞ mugen' special project brings together cutting-edge products from industry-leading companies to concretely demonstrate the 'infinite possibilities' created by the fusion of reality and virtual space.

Voices from the Third Wave of Participants

Canon Canon's MR system, 'MREAL,' has evolved from applications in manufacturing sites. In their presentation, they will overview the current status and challenges of XR implementation in manufacturing based on past introduction and operation records. They will also introduce a new XR product supporting collaboration under development, and a concept model of a compact, lightweight MR device that balances usability and high quality. They will discuss future potential for co-creation with companies and partners interested in alliances and demonstration trials, alongside efforts in market expansion and technology development to make XR a technology used in more worksites.

Siemens As a leader in digitalization and industrial automation, Siemens expects transformative possibilities that XR brings to industry. Specifically, as a core technology for their digital twin strategy, they support companies in streamlining their entire product lifecycle and promoting digital transformation by integrating their software portfolio with XR.
