Sahara Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ichinoseki, Iwate) announced the April 1st launch of the 'Factory & Warehouse Heat Exhaust Eco-Louver,' a natural ventilation device designed to solve indoor heat accumulation in large facilities such as factories, warehouses, and logistics centers. In recent years, rising summer temperatures in Japan have made indoor heat accumulation a major issue in large-scale facilities. Specifically, trapped heat near the roof leads to worsened working environments, increased strain on equipment, and higher air conditioning costs. However, many facilities remain without adequate measures due to the high costs of installing ventilation equipment and electricity consumption. To address these challenges, Sahara developed the 'Factory & Warehouse Heat Exhaust Eco-Louver,' which uses natural forces to exhaust heat without electricity. The system utilizes wind pressure and temperature differences between the building's interior and exterior to create airflow. By installing the louvers on upper walls, trapped heat is efficiently exhausted, promoting air circulation. Since it requires no motors or fans, it consumes no electricity and requires minimal maintenance, making it an ideal energy-saving solution. The product features a temperature-sensing mechanism based on Sahara's proprietary Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) technology. The louvers automatically open at 25°C to promote heat exhaust and close at 5°C, requiring no electrical control. Made of highly durable aluminum, the product is designed for long-term outdoor use. It can also be fitted with fiberglass insect screens. The system is compatible with both new construction and retrofitting for existing buildings. Available in seven colors, it can be customized to match various building exteriors. Prices start at 11,300 JPY.
