Hokkaido-based photo studio 'Photo Studio Palette Obihiro' has announced 'aglow,' a new visual concept set at Kofuku Station on the former JNR Hiroo Line. The theme is 'Even after growing up, we're the same as back then,' offering a nostalgic story shared across generations.
【aglow】~The image of the past, unchanged by time~
Location: Kofuku Station The location for this project is 'Kofuku Station,' known for the catchphrase 'From the Land of Love to Happiness.' It became a sensation after being featured on a TV program in the 1970s. Even after the Hiroo Line was discontinued in 1987, the station building, platform, and its orange diesel train car were preserved. It now operates as a 'Railway Park,' attracting many tourists.
Concept The preserved orange diesel car is a place filled with memories of the youth of parents' and grandparents' generations. The concept aims not just to use an iconic spot, but to create visuals that evoke memories of school days for everyone through the motif of a 'train.' The expressions framed by the window and the couple inside the train represent a moment where the youth of someone who once rode this train overlaps with the couple's present happiness. The setting sun dramatically illuminates the once-innocent pair, creating a sense of time and growth.
Hair & Makeup The makeup emphasizes a soft, warm impression reminiscent of innocent past memories, creating a natural blush and texture that seems to glow from within. In contrast, the hairstyle represents their grown-up selves, featuring a loose, flowing style for a sophisticated yet feminine silhouette. This approach is designed to let past memories enhance their present beauty.
This new visual concept depicts a form of happiness that transcends time, where memories inherited from a past generation merge with the couple's own journey.
