Esashi Town, Hokkaido, Hokuo Bank, and Stellar Green Sign Partnership Agreement Towards Realization of a Sustainable Society Through Carbon Neutrality

Stellar Green Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Akinori Nakamura; hereinafter referred to as 'Stellar Green'), a company developing support projects for the creation of forest carbon credits, and its partner Hokuo Bank (Head Office: Sapporo, Hokkaido; President: Hirotsune Tsuyama; hereinafter referred to as 'Hokuo Bank'), signed a partnership agreement on Thursday, March 26, 2026, with the municipality of Esashi Town, Hokkaido (Mayor: Moritsugu Murakami; hereinafter referred to as 'Esashi Town'). The agreement aims to realize carbon neutrality utilizing environmental value and promote sustainable town development.

Through this partnership agreement, the three parties aim to achieve regional carbon neutrality through sustainable forest conservation activities in Esashi Town. Furthermore, they will work to create a mechanism to circulate profits generated by the creation of environmental value back into the local economy and forest conservation.

Specific initiatives include the three parties collaborating to promote the creation and sale of forest carbon credits, and information dissemination both within and outside the town.
