Background of the Partnership Agreement Signing

In its "6th Comprehensive Plan" in 2018, Oyobi Town set policy goals for building a circular society and conserving the natural environment. In December 2024, the town council declared it a "Zero Carbon City," pledging to achieve net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2050. In March 2025, the "Global Warming Prevention Action Plan (Administrative Operations Edition)" was formulated, setting a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY2030 compared to FY2013. Furthermore, starting in FY2025, a subsidy system for residential solar power generation will be newly established to promote the spread of renewable energy.

Approximately 74% of Oyobi Town's total area is covered by forests. From a decarbonization perspective, converting abundant forest resources into economic value has become a significant challenge.

Against this backdrop, this partnership agreement has been concluded to collaborate with Stellar Green, which possesses expertise and a track record in forest valuation, and to promote initiatives that link the value of forest resources to economic value.
