Nippon Ham Corporation has joined as a new partner for 'Hokkaido F Village X' (HFX), a global acceleration program managed by Scrum Ventures and Scrum Studio. The program focuses on enhancing Hokkaido's appeal and solving regional issues, with Hokkaido and the Hokkaido Ballpark F Village as its base, aiming to foster business co-creation between global startups, partner companies, and local governments.

As a leading food corporation in Hokkaido and Japan, Nippon Ham possesses a broad business foundation in meat and processed foods, as well as extensive knowledge and assets in livestock and food manufacturing. Within HFX, the company will explore potential co-creation opportunities with startups in fields such as adding high value to livestock by-products and unutilized resources, developing new protein and health-functional foods, creating new value in processed food products, reducing food loss, optimizing supply chains, and reducing labor and improving productivity at production sites. The company expects these initiatives to lead to the creation of a sustainable and new food industry while leveraging Hokkaido's agricultural resources and fields.

HFX is currently accepting applications from startups to join the second batch of the program.
