Kounosu Lab, Manufacturer of Pure Series Contact Lenses, Suspends 24-Hour Factory Operations for 541-Person Evacuation Drill

SEED Co., Ltd. conducted a large-scale evacuation drill at Kounosu Laboratory on May 1, 2026. For the first time, the 24-hour factory suspended operations. 541 employees and 24 external participants joined the drill, which simulated a fire and chemical leak caused by an earthquake. This allowed employees, including those in cleanrooms, to practice evacuation routes safely. Furthermore, SEED emphasized the importance of disaster preparedness for eyes, advising the inclusion of a 1-2 week supply of contact lenses in emergency kits.
