Akira Ikegawa, born in 1954, a Doctor of Medicine and graduate of Teikyo University School of Medicine, is a prominent figure in intrauterine memory research. He established Ikegawa Clinic in Yokohama in 1989 after serving as head of obstetrics and gynecology at Ageo Chuo General Hospital. He is the Representative Director of the Japan Intrauterine Memory Education Association and a member of APPPAH. His work has been recognized with awards such as Spirit of APPPAH Outstanding Advocacy and Hall of Honor of Prenatal Sciences.
