Sekisui Chemical Named 'Supplier Engagement Leader' for Second Consecutive Year

Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Futoshi Shimizu) announced that it has been awarded an 'A' score in the 2025 Supplier Engagement Rating (SEA) by the international non-profit organization CDP, earning the title of 'Supplier Engagement Leader' for the second year in a row.

The SEA evaluates a company’s efforts to address climate change within its supply chain. Companies selected are recognized for playing a vital role in working with suppliers to promote climate action and transition toward a net-zero, sustainable economy.

In addition, Sekisui Chemical was named to the CDP 'A List' for both 'Climate Change' and 'Water Security' for the third consecutive year, as announced in December 2025. The company was also named to the 'Forest' A- List for the second consecutive year.

Under its long-term vision 'Vision 2030,' Sekisui Chemical operates under the vision statement 'Innovation for the Earth.' The company declares its commitment to supporting the foundations of life and creating long-term peace of mind toward the realization of a sustainable society through innovation.

As part of its climate change efforts, the company has set a long-term goal of achieving net-zero GHG emissions from its business activities by 2050. Using a backcasting approach, it aims for a 50% reduction by 2030 compared to 2019, aligning with the 1.5°C target, and is contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society.
