SGC Inc., a company engaged in the manufacturing and sale of gold products and the purchasing of precious metals, will hold a 'Grand Gold Exhibition,' featuring a large collection of gold items, at Takamatsu Mitsukoshi for six days from Wednesday, June 10, to Monday, June 15, 2026.
Featured in the exhibition are life-sized golden statues of Shohei Ohtani of the MLB Los Angeles Dodgers: 'Golden Batter Shohei Ohtani' and 'Golden Pitcher Shohei Ohtani.' This is a rare opportunity to see both statues displayed together. These works were created by SGC, a pioneer in gold products, over a period of about two years with Ohtani's official approval. The batter statue uses 1,550 sheets of gold leaf and stands about 1.9m tall (approx. 2.4m from the base to the tip of the bat), while the pitcher statue uses 1,450 sheets and is about 1.7m tall. The reference prices are 50 million yen excluding tax (55 million yen including tax) each, or 100 million yen excluding tax (110 million yen including tax) for the pair.
As part of the 'Shohei Ohtani Pure Gold Collection,' SGC will release special medals using 100g of pure gold (approx. 5.4cm in diameter) and pure gold figures (Batter, Pitcher, and Two-Way styles) in 1/10 and 1/20 scales.
Furthermore, the company will specially offer a pure gold figure of Kenshiro from 'Fist of the North Star,' titled 'K24 Fist of the North Star Kenshiro' (approx. 11cm tall, approx. 60g in weight, 5,368,000 yen including tax).
The exhibition features over 1,000 gold products in total. Additionally, SGC will provide free on-site appraisals for precious metals and offer cash buybacks.
