SharkNinja Japan has begun collaborating with 25 hotels, commercial facilities, and leisure venues across the country to reduce the heat burden on consumers during outings and leisure activities as extreme heat becomes the norm in Japan. The company aims to further expand this initiative to reach a scale of 50 companies this summer.
Through this initiative, Shark is deploying its fan products in environments where consumers and staff often experience heat-related challenges, such as queues, transit, activity areas, and outdoor workplaces. By aiming to create an 'environment where you don't give up on summer,' Shark enhances the experience for visitors and guests, while also contributing to improved working environments for staff.
In recent years, Japan has experienced record-breaking heat, and according to a survey by the Halmek Living Skills Research Institute, approximately 60% of people reported reduced outings due to the extreme heat. Heat-related issues during waiting times are leading to decreased satisfaction, and Shark’s cordless fan lineup aims to mitigate these challenges.
