Shikoku Aquarium (Location: Utazu Town, Kagawa Prefecture) is holding a special exhibition titled "Sea Flower Diary ~ Cherry Blossom Viewing Exhibition ~" from Saturday, March 28, 2026, to Sunday, April 12, 2026, showcasing creatures related to cherry blossoms.

This event features beautiful creatures that evoke the image of cherry blossoms, coinciding with the season when cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

The Cherry Blossom Fish (Sakura Dai) is named because the white markings on the male's body are reminiscent of cherry blossom petals. The Flower Mantis Shrimp (Hana Shako) is known for its powerful strike using its well-developed raptorial appendages at the base of its legs, capable of delivering a strong blow to prey such as shellfish and crabs. While its strength draws attention, its body color is a pale pink, possessing a beauty that resembles cherry blossom petals.

Additionally, cherry blossom decorations will be placed around the tanks to create an atmosphere reminiscent of cherry blossom viewing. Please enjoy a unique aquarium cherry blossom viewing experience while observing creatures as beautiful as cherry blossoms within the tanks.
