Shimamura Group to Conduct Clothing Collection in All Stores Excluding Remote Islands from April 6th

Shimamura Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative: Iichiro Takahashi) is conducting a 'Clothing Collection' from April 6 (Mon) to April 19 (Sun) at all Shimamura Group stores (Shimamura, Avail, Birthday, Chambre, Divalo), excluding some remote islands. Since starting this initiative in 2024, the group has collected over 210 tons of clothing. This initiative is part of the group's ESG goal of 'zero waste'. Collected clothing will be processed by ECOMMIT's resource circulation service 'PASSTO' for reuse and recycling. Some items will also be recycled into new clothing fibers through the 'MUDA ZERO' project by Kaitack Family, with products made from recycled fibers having been sold since fiscal year 2025.
