Shinchosha Publishing Co., Ltd. released Momoko Sakura's travel essay collection, 'Tabitabi,' on March 25, 2026. This book compiles 11 essays originally featured in the magazine 'Fujisan,' which Sakura edited herself, and marks their first appearance in a standalone book format.

The book's design was handled by the legendary Shin Sobue and Karen Shima (Cozfish). Sobue, a prominent Japanese designer who frequently collaborated with Sakura, passed away in March of this year, making this one of his final projects. A review by Sobue discussing the charm of this book has been published on 'Book Bang.'

The collection is filled with humorous episodes, including a visit to Dick Bruna (creator of Miffy) in Utrecht, a tea-shopping spree in Hong Kong, a reunion in Bali, and gourmet tours across Japan. The book also includes a recommendation piece titled 'The Extraordinary is also Ordinary' by acclaimed author Ryo Asai.

About 'Fujisan' A unique magazine created almost entirely by Momoko Sakura (launched in 2000, 5 issues in total). 'Tabitabi' selects 11 gems from this magazine that have never been published in a standalone book before.
