The terrifying horror novel 'Chimichi' (Shinchosha Bunko nex) by Kiiko Mori, which won the Creative Awards 2024 (hosted by note) and became a major topic, was released today. A comic adaptation of this work by manga artist Akihi Enaka, who became a topic for 'Maid no Bell,' has also been decided! Although 'Chimichi' is a horror novel, it is a story about love. Based on real experiences, it is a work written to organize and forgive my life so far, packing in memories of my grandmother who passed away just before turning 100. While I speak sentimentally like this, as you can see from the wonderful cover, the work itself is a direct, violent horror. I aimed for entertainment dripping with love, forgiveness, and blood. 'Chimichi'—it is a strong, deep, and long connection tied by blood. You can never escape it. One summer day, a female college student named Niinae disappeared mysteriously. Her lover, Hikari Oyama, thought it was due to a curse passed down in her family and consulted Kanako, who can 'see' supernatural phenomena, but what she saw there was a bond of 'Chimichi' beyond imagination. Why did Niinae disappear? What is the true nature of the curse attacking the Oyama family? A terrifying horror novel revolving around ancient customs.
