While providing substantial moisture, it penetrates swiftly into the skin's inner layers*2 the moment it's applied. SHIRO's skincare allows you to choose ingredients based on your skin's condition each day. Last April, the limited edition 'Oil-in-Serum' was well-received by many customers for its ability to cater to various skin concerns by combining carefully selected ingredients.

This summer, in addition to enjoying the ingredients themselves, we have meticulously selected those that can specifically target summer-related skin concerns. Introducing 'Calendula Herb Oil-in-Serum,' which gently envelops and calms skin damaged by UV-induced dryness, and 'Hidaka Kombu Birch Oil-in-Serum,' which smooths skin texture for those concerned about visible pores*1 due to dryness on the inside despite oiliness on the surface.

Calendula Herb Oil-in-Serum 60mL ¥6,930 (tax included)

This product combines 'Calendula Oil*3,' extracted from calendula flowers known as 'skin guardians,' with 'Herb Care Water' that firms the skin using 15 carefully selected herb extracts including wild mugwort*4 native to Hokkaido. It also includes calendula calyx extract*3. This two-layer formula simultaneously replenishes moisture and oil, offering a comfortable feel that blends smoothly into the skin even during sticky summer days. It's a rescue oil-in-serum recommended for caring for dry skin damaged by strong summer sun, leading to plump, smooth, and translucent skin*5.

[HOW TO] Shake well until the two layers become cloudy, then dispense an appropriate amount and gently blend into the entire face.

Using 2 pushes in the morning and evening will last approximately 2.5 months.

Hidaka Kombu Birch Oil-in-Serum 60mL ¥6,930 (tax included)

A two-layer serum combining oil and lotion. The upper layer contains Hidaka Kombu extract*6, known for its high water retention, extracted with oil, and Kalahari melon oil. The lower layer is formulated with birch sap*7 collected from birch trees, birch distillate water*8 from fresh young leaves, and Hidaka Kombu extract*6 extracted with water. This single bottle contains birch sap*7, collected only for a short period before the snow melts, and fresh distillate water*8 from the northern land, along with the concentrated essence of the sea's bounty from Hidaka Kombu.

It replenishes moisture to extremely dry skin, balances the skin's water and oil content, and leads to firm, radiant skin. It's a non-sticky, smooth 'Oil-in-Serum' that's perfect for summer.

Calendula / Hirota Farm (Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture)

Hirota Farm cultivates 'Muraji,' a rare native variety, as edible flowers without pesticides. Grown under Awaji Island's long daylight hours, soil rich in marine minerals, and a gentle climate, the calendula blooms into large flowers exceeding 10cm in diameter with a strikingly vibrant orange color. SHIRO products utilize not only the beautiful petals but also the calyx parts with great care.

Mugwort / Fukuyama Agriculture and Forestry Cooperative (Aibetsu Town, Hokkaido)

Thriving powerfully in the forests of Aibetsu Town, Hokkaido, mugwort stores fresh moisture, abundant nutrients, and a deep, mellow aroma. The mugwort used in SHIRO products is the large 'Yamayomogi,' which grows to 1-2 meters in height, harvested to provide sufficient nutrition to newly planted saplings. By finding new value and effectively utilizing what was previously considered 'weeds,' we take a step towards nurturing future forests.

Hidaka Kombu (Eisenia Arborea) / e-Combu (Hiroo Town, Hokkaido)

Hidaka Kombu (Eisenia Arborea) extract features a smooth texture. Rich in nutrients like vitamins and minerals, its viscous component, fucoidan, is known for its excellent water retention and is expected to help maintain skin moisture and protect against dryness. At SHIRO, we work with 'e-Combu,' a company aiming for a circular society starting with kelp, and fishermen from Hiroo Town, collecting washed-up kelp that is slightly lacking in thickness.
