Under this contract, the facility's nickname will continue to be "Shoda Shoyu Stadium Gunma" (English notation: SHODA SHOYU STADIUM GUNMA), with the contract period running from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031.
"Shoda Shoyu Stadium Gunma" is a Class 1 certified athletics stadium by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations, equipped with an all-weather track, and also serves as the home stadium for the J.League team Thespa Gunma. The stadium will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its naming in 2028 and is scheduled to be the venue for track and field events at the 83rd National Sports Festival ("Yukemuri Kokusupo Gunma 2029") in 2029, expecting to draw nationwide attention.
