As awareness of traffic rules increases, there are growing voices calling for a review of daily transportation methods. ENNE ZERO is new mobility that combines comfort, enjoyment, and practicality. It is possible to aim for improved electricity consumption while pedaling for exercise, or to move leisurely with the accelerator as the primary control. The ability to choose how to ride according to the scene and mood is also a major appeal.

ENNE ZERO, with its unique direct-drive pedal system, is a specific low-power moped that offers an unprecedented riding experience. It makes travel more comfortable even in hot weather or on uphill slopes. It proposes a new standard as a vehicle that turns everyday travel into enjoyment.

The main specifications of ENNE ZERO worth noting are as follows. For the tire size, we adopted 14 inches, prioritizing ease of handling and maneuverability in urban environments. This model now uses a 48V battery, making it more powerful. The frame is based on the X303 frame of the ENNE T600GR, but has evolved into a smarter and more refined design.

Furthermore, the rear box shown in the photos is a prototype specification and has a somewhat rugged appearance. However, the production version will adopt a wave fin design, resulting in a more compact and refined finish.

In addition, the controller mounted on ENNE ZERO boasts high performance comparable to 3kW-class electric motorcycles and is designed to be compatible with our unique "ZERO system."

ENNE ZERO is a new mobility that solves all three major challenges of specific low-power electric mopeds: "climbing ability," "cruising range," and "riding when the battery is depleted," and is also designed for use as an alternative to electric assist bicycles with a 1:5 assist ratio.

ENNE ZERO is the only vehicle that can be ridden without a license, using either the accelerator or pedals.

Specific low-power electric mopeds are restricted from exceeding 20 km/h, so adding pedals presented significant technical challenges. However, the convenience of having driving pedals is immeasurable, and we have succeeded in solving the three major challenges that affect almost all specific low-power electric mopeds currently on the market.

Color Variations

Technical Challenges Solved by ENNE ZERO

The pedals of ENNE ZERO are not input devices for power generation. They are designed as a mechanism for driving, using the power of pedaling directly for wheel drive.

The key to making this configuration work as a specific low-power electric moped is how to achieve the 20 km/h speed limit with a drivetrain that includes driving pedals. ENNE ZERO has been developed with the policy of simultaneously designing the vehicle structure and control logic to address this challenge.

In the current specifications of ENNE ZERO, dynamic braking is adopted as one of the core technologies supporting the 20 km/h speed limit control.

We emphasized not completing speed management solely on the motor output side. Because human power is added to the drivetrain with driving pedals, the design of the speed limit must include control on the braking side. ENNE ZERO adopts a vehicle design that incorporates dynamic braking based on this concept. Dynamic braking in ENNE ZERO is a type of electromagnetic brake. It naturally suppresses the speed to 20 km/h with a smooth sensation. Of course, it is not an uncomfortable structure that suddenly engages.

The AI installed in the ENNE ZERO system is responsible for controlling the dynamic braking. The AI performs the following roles:

- Integrates and judges vehicle speed, pedal rotation, driving status, and power status. - Calculates the control amount necessary to maintain the 20 km/h speed limit. - Optimizes the intervention amount of dynamic braking. - When the power is off, it activates the wake-up function based on driving detection and starts up the necessary systems. - Maintains the control status of functions necessary for compliance with safety standards.

Through the operation of this AI, it senses the intention and strength of acceleration, calculates the optimal braking force, and achieves smooth speed suppression. While it may seem like braking is deceleration, it is more accurately an acceleration suppression device. For typical rider leg strength, it is released almost instantly, so the vehicle speed hardly decreases.

Can Return Even with No Battery, and More

The anxieties of specific low-power electric mopeds become a reality the moment the battery runs out. Once the battery is depleted, you're left pushing the heavy vehicle home. This anxiety limits the range of activities and deters purchases for many. ENNE ZERO directly addresses this concern. With driving pedals, the concept of continuing to move using the pedals even when the battery is low is incorporated from the start.

This is where the wake-up function and the ENNE ZERO system AI come into play. When driving is detected, the necessary control systems are activated, establishing control states for vehicle speed management and safety functions.

In other words, ENNE ZERO is not just a vehicle that can "be pedaled." It is a vehicle designed to allow you to return. This difference becomes apparent not from the catalog, but after ownership.

Doesn't Stop on Hills, No Need to Push. That's the Value.

While conventional specific low-power electric mopeds are convenient on flat ground, they tend to be unsatisfactory on slopes. On slightly steep slopes, the speed decreases, and in severe cases, one might consider pushing the vehicle. This is a significant weakness for urban use.

ENNE ZERO does not leave this weakness unaddressed. By adding human power to the drive through pedals, not just relying on the accelerator, it makes it easier to continue moving even on slopes. The value of ENNE ZERO is not in climbing slopes quickly. It's about not stopping on slopes. Not having to push. Not having the journey end there. We believe this difference is very significant for a vehicle used daily.

Infinite Cruising Range

The energy source for specific low-power electric mopeds is typically only the battery. Driving force also depends solely on electricity. Therefore, to extend the cruising range, there was no other option but to increase the battery size. However, ENNE ZERO extends its range to approximately that of an electric assist bicycle, offering a significantly longer range compared to other companies with the same battery capacity.

Until Now, Few Specific Low-Power Electric Mopeds Could Truly Replace Electric Assist Bicycles

The reason why specific low-power electric mopeds have not been able to fully replace electric assist bicycles until now is clear. It's because, technically, it has been difficult to create a specific low-power electric moped with truly functional driving pedals, not just for appearance. While other electric mobility options could serve as replacements, the requirement for a license and helmet made them not true substitutes.

Specific low-power electric mopeds are vehicles defined by a 20 km/h speed limit that do not require a license or helmet (though wearing one is recommended). Within these conditions, making pedals that actually turn the wheels with human power is not as simple as just attaching pedals. Since human power enters the drivetrain, motor control alone is insufficient. Speed management, braking, control when the power is off, and safety functions must all be designed together to reach a level of reliability for daily use. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism clearly states that specific low-power electric mopeds are defined by a 20 km/h speed limit.

Because of this barrier, "pedal-equipped" vehicles on the market have either been for power generation, purely for appearance, or insufficient for serious daily use. In other words, they have not been able to fully provide the "strong assist feel" that users of electric assist bicycles truly desired.

ENNE ZERO is a vehicle designed to break through that barrier. By integrating driving pedals, ENNE ZERO system AI, dynamic braking, and wake-up function, we are aiming for the first "truly usable pedal-equipped specific low-power electric moped."

The Star of the Show Isn't the Accelerator. It's the 1:5 Assist.

As ENNE ZERO is a specific low-power electric moped, it is possible to ride using the accelerator. However, that is not what we are seriously promoting this time.

What was desired was not an accelerator, but stronger assistance. ENNE directly addresses this.

What we are newly announcing is the "1:5 Assist" concept, aiming for an assist feel equivalent to 5 times the human power input. This is not about competing in speed. It's about maximizing the feeling of ease in starting, climbing hills, and carrying loads within the practical speed range up to 20 km/h.

Electric assist bicycles are convenient. But in reality, you still have to use your legs on hills, work hard for re-acceleration, and it becomes difficult when carrying luggage. Many people have likely felt, "I don't need to be fast, I just need more push."

ENNE ZERO aims to provide that answer. A vehicle chosen for its assist feel, not its speed. That is the positioning of ENNE ZERO.

20 km/h is Sufficiently Practical. In Fact, It's Just Right for the City.

"Isn't 20 km/h too slow to replace a bicycle?" This question naturally arises. However, the reality of urban environments already provides the answer. Japanese actual usage surveys show that the average speed of bicycles for students and adults is 14.6 km/h, and for young children and the elderly, it is 11.4 km/h. In other words, bicycle use in cities is not a world where cruising at 20 km/h is the norm. There are traffic lights. Intersections. Pedestrians. Stopping and starting again. In such urban environments, the ease of starting, the ease of re-acceleration, and not losing speed on hills are far more directly linked to satisfaction than the maximum speed.

Furthermore, starting April 1, 2026, a "blue ticket" system will be introduced for bicycles, including violations such as lane violation (riding against traffic, riding on sidewalks, etc.). The idea of "escaping to the sidewalk" will become increasingly difficult.

Therefore, ENNE ZERO is not a vehicle for showing off speed. It is a vehicle for making travel up to 20 km/h much easier than before.

Small wheels like 14-inch or 16-inch are not intended for high-speed cruising. They are for agility in the city, ease of handling, and the feeling of "it's easier than I thought." ENNE ZERO is dedicated to this direction. *For 14-inch and 16-inch wheels, 20 km/h might actually be a relatively fast speed.

ENNE ZERO is for People Like This

ENNE ZERO is suitable for the following people:

- People who want to make their commute to the station or short-distance travel easier.

- People living in hilly areas who feel their current electric assist bicycle is insufficient.

- People who want to make starting and climbing hills easier, even on days with heavy luggage.

- People who don't want to worry too much about battery levels when traveling.

- People seeking a strong assist feel rather than speed or acceleration.

ENNE ZERO is not just a specific low-power electric moped with pedals attached. It's strong on hills. It can return even with a depleted battery. It makes travel up to 20 km/h easier. It is a vehicle that seriously pursues these values, which seem obvious but have not been readily available.

We are developing ENNE ZERO not as an extension of conventional specific low-power electric mopeds, but as a new proposal that addresses the needs not fully met by electric assist bicycles.
