With increasing awareness of traffic rules, more people are looking to re-evaluate their daily transportation. ENNE ZERO is a new mobility solution that combines comfort, enjoyment, and practicality.
You can pedal for exercise and improve energy efficiency, or simply cruise leisurely using the accelerator. The ability to choose your riding style based on the scene or your mood is a major appeal.
ENNE ZERO, with its unique direct-drive pedal system, offers an unprecedented riding experience as a specific-class micro-moped. It makes travel more comfortable even in hot weather or on inclines. It proposes a new standard as a vehicle that transforms everyday travel into an enjoyable experience.
The main notable specifications of ENNE ZERO are as follows. For the tire size, we've adopted 14 inches, prioritizing ease of handling and maneuverability in urban environments. This model now uses a 48V battery, providing more power. The frame is based on the X303 frame of the ENNE T600GR, evolved into a smarter and more refined design.
Furthermore, the rear box shown in the photos is a prototype specification with a somewhat rugged appearance. However, the production version will feature a wave fin design, resulting in a more compact and refined finish.
Additionally, the controller equipped in ENNE ZERO boasts high performance comparable to 3kW-class electric motorcycles and is designed to support the proprietary "ZERO System."

ENNE ZERO resolves the three major challenges of specific-class micro-mopeds: "climbing ability," "cruising range," and "riding when the battery is depleted," and is a new mobility solution designed to be used as an alternative to electric assist bicycles with a 1:5 assist ratio.
ENNE ZERO is the only vehicle that can be ridden without a license, using either the accelerator or pedals.
While the restriction of not exceeding 20 km/h for specific-class micro-mopeds presented significant technical challenges in incorporating pedals, the convenience of having drive pedals is immeasurable, and we have succeeded in solving the three major issues that plague almost all specific-class micro-mopeds currently on the market.
Color Variations
Technical Challenges Solved by ENNE ZERO
The pedals on ENNE ZERO are not just for power generation. They are designed as a mechanism to directly use pedaling force to drive the wheels.
The key to making this configuration work as a specific-class micro-moped is how to achieve the 20 km/h speed limit with a drive system that includes propulsion pedals. ENNE ZERO has been developed with a policy of simultaneously designing the vehicle structure and control logic to address this challenge.
In the current specifications of ENNE ZERO, dynamic braking is employed as one of the core technologies supporting the 20 km/h speed limit control.
We emphasized not completing speed management solely on the motor output side. Because human power is added to the pedal structure, the design of the speed limit must include braking control. ENNE ZERO adopts a vehicle design that incorporates dynamic braking based on this principle. The dynamic brake in ENNE ZERO is a type of electromagnetic brake. It provides a smooth, natural speed suppression to 20 km/h. It is not an uncomfortable structure that suddenly engages.
The AI equipped in the ENNE ZERO system is responsible for controlling the dynamic brake. The AI performs the following roles:
- Integrates and judges vehicle speed, pedal rotation, driving conditions, and power status. - Calculates the control amount necessary to maintain the 20 km/h speed limit. - Optimizes the intervention level of the dynamic brake. - When the power is off, it activates the wake-up function based on driving detection and starts up necessary systems. - Maintains the control status of functions required for compliance with safety standards.
Through the AI's operation, it senses the intention and intensity of acceleration, calculates the optimal braking force, and provides smooth speed suppression. While it might seem like braking, it's more accurately described as an acceleration suppression device. For a typical rider's leg strength, it disengages almost instantly, so the vehicle speed hardly decreases.
Returnable Even with a Dead Battery. It Doesn't End There.
The anxieties associated with specific-class micro-mopeds become a reality the moment the battery dies. Once the battery is depleted, you're left pushing a heavy vehicle. This fear prevents people from expanding their range and makes them hesitate to purchase. ENNE ZERO directly addresses this concern. With its driving pedals, the concept of continuing to pedal even when the battery is low is incorporated from the outset.
This is where the wake-up function and the ENNE ZERO system AI come into play. When the vehicle detects movement, it activates the necessary control systems, establishing control states for vehicle speed management and safety functions.
In other words, ENNE ZERO is not just a vehicle that "can be pedaled." It's a vehicle designed for you to be able to get home. This difference becomes apparent not from the catalog but after ownership.
Doesn't Stop on Hills. No Need to Push. That's the Value.
While conventional specific-class micro-mopeds are convenient on flat ground, they tend to be unsatisfactory on inclines. On steeper slopes, the speed drops, and in severe cases, you might consider pushing it. This is a significant weakness for urban use.
ENNE ZERO does not leave this weakness unaddressed. By adding human power to the drive through pedals, not just relying on the accelerator, it makes it easier to continue moving even on slopes. The value of ENNE ZERO is not in climbing hills quickly. It's about not stopping on hills. Not having to push. Not having your journey end there. We believe this difference is substantial for a vehicle used daily.
Infinite Cruising Range
The energy source for specific-class micro-mopeds is typically only the battery. Driving power also relies solely on electricity. Therefore, to extend the cruising range, the only option was to increase battery size. However, ENNE ZERO's range extends to that of an electric assist bicycle, offering a significantly longer range compared to other companies with the same battery capacity.
Until Now, Few Specific-Class Micro-Mopeds Could Truly Replace Electric Assist Bicycles.
The reason why specific-class micro-mopeds have not been able to fully replace electric assist bicycles until now is clear. Technically, it has been extremely difficult to create a specific-class micro-moped with truly functional driving pedals, not just for appearance. While other electric mobility options could serve as replacements, the requirement for a license and helmet made them not true substitutes.
Specific-class micro-mopeds are vehicles defined by a 20 km/h speed limit, requiring no license and only an optional helmet. Within these conditions, creating pedals that actually turn the wheels using human power is not as simple as just attaching pedals. When human power is involved in the drive, motor control alone is insufficient. The entire system, including speed management, braking, control when the power is off, and safety functions, must be designed together to reach a level of reliability for daily use. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism clearly states that specific-class micro-mopeds are defined by the 20 km/h speed limit.
This barrier is why "pedal-equipped" vehicles on the market have either been for power generation, purely cosmetic, or insufficient for serious daily use. In other words, they haven't been able to provide the "strong assist feel" that electric assist bicycle users truly desired.
ENNE ZERO is the vehicle designed to break through that barrier. By integrating driving pedals, the ENNE ZERO system AI, dynamic braking, and the wake-up function, we aim to create the first "truly usable pedal-equipped specific-class micro-moped."
The Main Feature Here Isn't the Accelerator, but the 1:5 Assist.
As a specific-class micro-moped, ENNE ZERO can also be ridden using the accelerator. However, that is not what we are focusing on this time.
What was desired was not an accelerator, but stronger assistance. ENNE directly addresses this.
We are newly announcing the "1:5 Assist" concept, aiming for an assist feel equivalent to 5 times the human power input. This is not about competing on speed. It's about maximizing the feeling of ease when starting, climbing hills, and carrying loads within the practical speed range of up to 20 km/h.
Electric assist bicycles are convenient. But in reality, you still have to pedal on hills, work harder for acceleration, and it becomes difficult when carrying luggage. Many people have likely felt, "I don't need to be fast, I just need more help."
ENNE ZERO provides the answer to that. It's a vehicle chosen for its assist feel, not its speed. That is ENNE ZERO's positioning.
20 km/h is Sufficiently Practical. In Fact, It's Just Right for City Streets.
"Isn't 20 km/h too slow to replace a bicycle?" This question naturally arises. However, the reality of city streets already provides the answer. Japanese actual travel surveys show that the average speed of bicycles for students and adults is 14.6 km/h, and for young children and the elderly, it is 11.4 km/h. In other words, bicycle use in urban areas is not typically at a full 20 km/h cruise. There are traffic lights, intersections, and pedestrians. You stop and start again. In such urban environments, the ease of starting, the ease of re-acceleration, and not losing speed on hills are far more directly linked to satisfaction than the maximum speed.
Furthermore, starting April 1, 2026, a "blue ticket" system will be introduced for bicycles, including violations such as lane violations (riding against traffic, riding on sidewalks, etc.). The notion of "escaping to the sidewalk" will become increasingly difficult.
Therefore, ENNE ZERO is not a vehicle for showing off speed. It's a vehicle for making travel up to 20 km/h much easier than before.
With small-diameter tires of 14 or 16 inches, the goal is not high-speed cruising. It's agility in the city, ease of handling, and the feeling of "surprisingly easy." ENNE ZERO is dedicated to this direction. (Note: 20 km/h might actually be a relatively fast speed for 14-inch and 16-inch tires).
ENNE ZERO is Ideal for These People:
ENNE ZERO is suitable for the following individuals:
- Those who want to make their commute to the station or short-distance travel easier.
- Those in hilly areas who feel their current electric assist bicycle is insufficient.
- Those who want to make starting and climbing hills easier, even with heavy luggage.
- Those who don't want to worry too much about battery levels when traveling.
- Those who seek a strong assist feel rather than speed or acceleration.
ENNE ZERO is not just a specific-class micro-moped with pedals attached. It's strong on hills. It can get you home even with a dead battery. It makes travel up to 20 km/h easier. It's a vehicle that seriously aims to deliver these values, which are seemingly obvious yet have not been readily available.
We are developing ENNE ZERO not as an extension of conventional specific-class micro-mopeds, but as a new proposal that addresses the needs not fully met by electric assist bicycles.
