The main fabric is 'Galeon,' featuring the thickness of No. 8 canvas and the three-dimensional texture unique to twill weave. It has a firm stiffness and strength sufficient to stand upright, while maintaining a refined appearance.

The handles use supple cowhide 'Tepo Leather.' Each detail is carefully crafted to highlight the distinct textures of canvas and leather. The Kawanishi Kaban logo is embossed on the leather parts.

Until now, Kawanishi Kaban has prioritized 'craftsmanship'—artisan work, functionality, and durability—above all else. While maintaining this unshakable foundation, we will now sequentially launch new series centered on fashion.

This shift stems from our strong desire: 'We want customers to enjoy bags more freely, matching their outfits and occasions.' Positive feedback from customers, such as 'We want a bag we can carry on dress-up days,' has greatly encouraged me.

However, our goal is not to become a brand focused solely on fashion. We aim to evolve into a brand that preserves Kawanishi Kaban’s signature craftsmanship while also offering the joy of fashion.

The design of the new 'Chic' series is simpler and more minimal than ever. But simplicity leaves no room for compromise. We have thoroughly incorporated artisan-level attention to detail—material texture, leather pairing, beautiful stitching, and three-dimensional silhouette when worn on the shoulder—especially in parts that aren’t immediately visible.
